Test Funding Eligibility

The Auckland Regional District Health Board funds community pathology services under the following conditions

1. The test requested is included in the Auckland Regional District Health Board Schedule of tests
2. Where the patients meets the Ministry of Health eligibility criteria
3. Where the test is requested for diagnostic purposes

Not all patients are eligible for Auckland Regional District Health Board funded laboratory tests. If the patient is not eligible then the patient will need to pay for the tests at the Collection Centre (see Test Pricing).  Non eligible tests includes but not limited to;

• Wellness testing
• Screening tests
• Travel
• Pre employment
• Work related testing
• Immigration testing
