Clinical Data Centre Operator

A Clinical Data Entry Operator is responsible for the accurate and timely entering of codes for patient testing procedures, laboratory results, contact centre information services for community pathology patients, and referring practitioners.

There are three different areas in which a Clinical Data Centre Operator can work:

  • Data Entry
  • Call Centre
  • Home Visits

How do I become a Clinical Data Centre Operator?

To be a Clinical Data Centre Operator you must have a minimum of 3 years Secondary School education resulting in either;

    • NCEA – with credits in Mathematics, English (both reading and writing) and Computer Studies

or

    • School Certificate – with pass marks achieved in Mathematics, English and Typing or Computer Studies
