Dr Barron joins Labtests from the United Kingdom where he was a Consultant Chemical Pathologist at St Helier Hospital in Carshalton and an honorary Senior Lecturer at St George’s University of London.
 
Dr Barron completed his medicine and pathology studies at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. He was a Senior Lecturer in Chemical Pathology for several years at the University of Cape Town and Groote Schuur Hospital before moving to the UK in 1985.
 
From 2004-2007 he was a member of Council of the Royal College of Pathologists, chair of the London Regional Committee and member of the Chemical Pathology Specialty Advisory Committee. He was extensively involved in training as chair of the London Chemical Pathology Specialty Training committee for 10 years.

Dr Ng joins Labtests from Hong Kong where he worked in the Department of Chemical Pathology at Hong Kong’s Prince of Wales Hospital.

After graduating in medicine from the University of Hong Kong, Dr Ng trained in Chemical Pathology at the Prince of Wales, Queen Mary and Princess Margaret Hospitals in Hong Kong.

Dr Ng is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and a member of the Hong Kong Society of Clinical Chemistry.

Dr Samarina Musaad

A graduate of Khartoum University (Sudan), Dr Samarina Musaad trained in Chemical Pathology in Auckland. Prior to settling in New Zealand, she had started basic training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the North of England which she continued for some time at National Women’s Hospital in Auckland before entering Pathology.
Samarina is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and a Fellow of the Australasian Association of Clinical Biochemists. She also serves as a member of the Chemical Pathology and the Point of Care Testing Advisory Committees of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia.
