As Medical Director for Labtests, Dr Richard Lloydd leads Labtests pathologists and has a vital role working with Auckland GPs, specialists, PHOs and DHBs. Richard also has a part time position as an anatomical pathologist at LabPlus, Auckland City Hospital.

Dr Lloydd was an Anatomical Pathologist at Diagnostic Medlab (DML) for over eight years. Prior to taking up his role at DML, Dr Lloydd was a registrar and pathologist at Canterbury Health Laboratories. His specialty training was completed at Dunedin and Christchurch Hospitals. Prior to entering pathology he spent three years working as a General Practitioner. He is a graduate of Otago Medical School.
